General Assembly, Elections and Demo in WS 2025/26

On Tuesday, 4 November at 11 a.m. in room H 201 of the IME (Intzestraße 3), the biannual general assembly (VV) will take place, at which the current council and the AG Klausuren will report on their activities and be discharged. Breakfast will be from 10:30 a.m., as is customary for our in-person VV meetings. The preliminary agenda is as follows:

1. Opening of the meeting by the chair of the student council
2. Election of a chairperson for the meeting
3. Election of a minute-taker
4. Approval of the agenda
5. Report of the student council
6. Financial report
7. Report of the exam working group
8. Motions
9. Elections
10. Any other business

After that, the elections for the Council and the AG Klausuren will take place again. All preliminary information can be found in the election announcement, which is posted on the notice board opposite the student council. However, final information on the election process will probably only be available at the VV.

You can register for the election via our administration system "WueStIT". To register, go to this link and fill out the form. Important! If you already have a student council account, please log in with it first, then register. You will then receive an email in which you must verify your email address. You will also receive your nomination by email. You do not need to print this out, but please make a note of the ID number stated on the nomination. During the general meeting, a table will be passed around on which you can enter this ID number and sign your name. If you are unable to attend the VV but still wish to stand for election, please send your handwritten and signed nomination to wahlen@fsmuw.rwth-aachen.de.

If you are not elected, your entries in WueStIT will be deleted after the end of the next election if you do not run again. This means that if you stand for this election, are not elected and do not run for the next election, your data will be deleted as soon as the next election is over. However, should you run again for the next election, the system will still know your name and address. The results of the election are archived for 10 years.

On 5 November, a protest against the state government's budget cuts will take place in Düsseldorf. Universities, including RWTH Aachen University, are also affected by the cuts. The cuts will directly impact us. That is why the AStA and our student council are calling for this protest. Please feel free to join us; we will also be there. The demonstration march will begin in Düsseldorf at 1 p.m. Further information can be found on the AStA website: https://www.asta.rwth-aachen.de/hochschulmittelkuerzung/
